Optical microscopy

OCAS is equipped with a range of optical microscopes, including inverted light microscopy to study microstructure – such as present phases, grain size, morphology, etc. – of materials at magnifications up to 1000 x. Some or our optical microscopes have specific features enabling e.g. measurement of micro-Vickers hardness, automatic determination of layer thickness, automatic stitching to obtain large overviews, etc.
