To better quantify large diameter pipe properties OCAS developed a method for sample flattening. The new flattening method applies to a wide range of pipe dimensions and ensures reproducible results. Strips cut from pipe are flattend first and then machined into tensile samples.
To better serve our customers OCAS also designed and manufactured a portable flattening tool which can be used on most standard workshop presses. It can be shipped to customers.
