SVET Scanning vibrating electrode technique

Scanning vibrating electrode technique (SVET) measures current density in solution originating from electrochemical reactions on an active surface. This in-situ technique quantifies local corrosion.  It is ideal to analyse passivation or pitting phenomena, self-healing processes and to study of cut-edge corrosion.

OCAS’s SVET is also suitable for mapping and quantification of electrochemical reactions and is able to forecast corrosion before it is visually detected.
